The Executive Board is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group, its strategy and the advocacy of the general stakeholders’ interests.

Peter van Mierlo

Chair of the Executive Board, CEO (1963, Dutch Nationality)

Mr Van Mierlo is CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board. He started his career at PwC, where he led the Transactions Group and, from 2006, held various Board positions. In his last five years at PwC, he was CEO of the company in the Netherlands and a member of various Global Leadership Teams. Subsequently, in 2018, he became CEO at the Dutch Entrepreneurial Bank, after which he became CFO of CubicPV, a US solar company working in India and the US until May 2023. On May 22, 2023 he was appointed CEO of B&S at the company’s Annual General Meeting for a term of four years.

Bas Schreuders

Member of the Executive Board (1954, Dutch Nationality)

Mr Schreuders started his career as a lawyer with Citco Bank & Trust and held senior positions at various banks, amongst others as managing director of MeesPierson Bank in Luxembourg (1997). Before joining B&S in 2012, he was the CEO of Intertrust Group in Geneva, Switzerland. In his role as member of the Executive Board he holds responsibility for legal affairs. Mr Schreuders was re-appointed as a member of the Executive Board on May 19, 2020 for a term of four years.

Mark Faasse

Member of the Executive Board, CFO (1981, Dutch Nationality)

Mr Faasse started his career at B&S in 2014 as Financial Director and holds over 15 years of experience in senior financial and managerial roles. Before B&S he was an external auditor at Deloitte. Mr Faasse was appointed as a member of the Executive Board on May 22, 2023 for a term of four years.

Ken Lageveen

Member of the Executive Team, COO (1977, Dutch Nationality)

Mr Lageveen joined B&S in 2003 and has more than 10 years of experience in senior operational leadership roles. He holds a master’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Groningen. Prior to his appointment as COO, he grew the HTG segment as Commercial Director and Digital Commerce Development, and later became the Managing Director of Operations within this segment. Mr Lageveen was reappointed to the Executive Team on June 5, 2023 for a term of four years.
