In August 2022, we published our Sustainability strategy 2030: Reach with Impact. This strategy is the result of an organisation-wide effort to integrate sustainability into our business strategy and marks an important milestone in building a future-proof business. Our Sustainability strategy 2030 Reach with Impact reinforces our commitment to contributing to a more sustainable world, whilst making premium consumer goods available to everyone, anywhere. Reach with Impact serves as our roadmap for the coming eight years. It defines where we are heading and how to get there. By executing our strategy, we lay the foundation for long-term value creation and a future of sustainable growth.

To tackle today’s biggest challenges – climate change, the depletion of planet earth’s natural resources, and an increasingly challenging labour market – our Sustainability strategy 2030 is centred around three business priorities. Within these priority areas, we have set clear commitments, targets and developed a plan for how to get there.

Creating a sustainable value chain means to make all activities through which we deliver value to our customers more sustainable. This requires changes to our own operations and collaboration with our partners throughout the value chain. Member of the UN Global Compact
To highlight our commitment to the 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption, we have been a member of the UN global compact (UNGC) since 2010. As a signatory, we submit a communication on progress to the UNGC on an annual basis.

Our business supports and contributes to the livelihoods of thousands of people. Not just the 2,100 B&S employees, but also to the countless suppliers and customers we work with all over the world. We want to ensure rewarding work opportunities, create optimal working conditions, and contribute to economic growth in the communities we operate in.

SDG 12: Sustainable consumption and production
Our product portfolio consists out of more than 40,000 SKUs. We aim to improve our product offerings by procuring responsibly and actively promoting more sustainable alternatives. We furthermore focus on being resource conscious by integrating the concepts from the circular economy into our day-to-day operations. Example include halving our food waste, maximising recycling potential, and reducing our packaging materials.
